Dr. Binon has been in private practice in Roseville since 1974. He was the first formally trained prosthodontic specialist to establish an office in
the Sacramento area. Prior to that time, he was an Associate Professor at the
Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry. He acquired his implant
training at the U of Washington from Dr. Branemark, the Swedish orthopedic
surgeon who developed the scientifically proven dental implant and his team in
1983. He was one of the first, if not
the first specialist to make osseointegrated implants available to the patients
in the greater Sacramento area.
He immediately realized the major impact that dental implants would have on patient care. That focused interest led to groundbreaking
research in dental implant components and clinical techniques. He currently has
appointments on two University Faculties; has published in the scientific and
dental literature more than 50 article on dental implant research and clinical
procedures primarily involving implants and various other aspects of dentistry.
He is an editor and reviewer for a number of scientific journals and has lectured
throughout the United States and the world on dental implant components,
biomechanics and clinical subjects.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration which was organized in 1986 and is the leading international organization of Specialists
and generalists dedicated to the scientific advancement of implant dentistry.
He has been a member since its founding and currently is on the Scientific
Review Committee.
His practice involves both the surgical and restorative aspects of implants. The real focus of the practice is to provide optimal treatment as a prosthodontist and an implant dentist for the Roseville, Granite Bay, Citrus Heights, and the Greater Sacramento Area.
